What is Looksmaxxing?

Looksmaxxing has been an internet term since the early 2020s — born in men's forums and on TikTok, coined from „looks" + „maxxing" (maximizing something). Here's what the term means, where it comes from, and how Looksmaxxing Royal turns the concept into a game.

The term

Looksmaxxing in the broadest sense means engaging with your own appearance in relation to other people — comparison, ranking, tier thinking. The word was coined in English-speaking online communities and went mainstream via TikTok and Reddit. There is a whole subculture with its own vocabulary: mogging (visually outshining someone), Mogger (someone who mogs often), Gigachad, Normie, tier lists.

Looksmaxxing Royal — the competition, not the advice

On Looksmaxxing Royal we take exactly one slice of the concept: the direct 1v1 comparison. You go live against a real opponent, an AI rates both photos in parallel, and the score decides who wins the battle. There is a league, a leaderboard, Mogs (LP), tiers — the entire competition mechanic. What we don't do: tips, creams, training plans, „how to become an 8.5". We're the game, not the manual.

Who plays here

The leaderboard currently lists thousands of players, from Normie entry-level to the Mogger tier. Anyone can join for free, a battle lasts under 60 seconds, premium is optional (unlimited battles, avatar upload, and a visible crown). Battle photos are auto-deleted after 30 days.
